Producer

We are Brandon & Chris. We are a small family farm run by 2 veterans. We have spent the last 25+ years serving our country and community. As we both near retirement we want to continue to serve our community by offering high quality produce and eggs for sale. Eventually we would like to be able to provide produce and eggs to the local food banks. Our farm is on 5 acres, currently just a small portion of the property is being used to farm, once we retire it will probably get larger. We use a high tunnel to assist in colder weather and have a large outdoor growing area. 2023 is our first year selling through the internet and figuring out what crops do well. We try to be as natural as possible with our growing practices and raising of our hens. In the crop area we use a myriad of plants and wood vinegar to keep the pests down. Our hens are raised soy free as we understand the issues of allergies to soy since Chris has a severe soy allergy. We use drip tape or hand watering for all the watering of vegetables on our property. We are on a well, but we are in the process of adding in different water catchment systems and solar pumps, that will allow us to utilize all of our resources to their maximum abilities. We do not use any chemicals to kill weeds or pest vegetation on our property. We continuously plant additional trees and other plants on the property, including a 200+ evergreen tree farm. For our soil management, we have purchased a small bio char kiln and are going to attempt to incorporate bio char into our beds, creating a much healthier soil that will last for generations to come.
