About Us
Our microgreens are grown indoors under LED lights in coco coir. We use heirloom seeds specifically for microgreens and package them in commercially-compostable clamshells. After harvest we compost the used coir in our worm bin, or give it to our chickens.

Our honeybees are located on our property and our primary goal is to make sure the bees are as healthy as possible and have enough food for the Winter before we harvest any honey. When extracting we run the honey through a screen filter but do not do any additional filtering or processing. We use new glass canning jars for bottling harvested honey.

We grow sweet potatoes on Bainbridge Island using slitted row cover to extend the season and save on water.
Practices
Our goal is to produce healthy food with a minimal impact on the environment. We have avoided using potting soils that contain peat moss and do not use any herbicides or pesticides on our plants. The seeds we use for microgreens are all heirloom varieties specifically sold for microgreens. After harvesting we compost all of the coco coir in our worm bins and our chicken coop. Our bees have access to wetlands on our property and a variety of native plants. We use commercially-compostable plant-based packaging for the microgreens and do not use plastic bottles for honey.
