We (Sara and Wendi) are the sole bakers/employees of our small wholesale bakery. We have been working in commercial/ retail kitchens for 3 years and hold valid Food Handlers Permits. We possess a WA State Department of Agriculture Food Processing Plant License and comfortable operate under the guidelines of our permits/licenses. In addition, we have adapted our production, delivery, and service practices to meet the new challenges introduced by Covid-19. We only work when no signs of Covid are present and we utilize masks and gloves to further insure food safety.
We constantly assess our environmental practices in the kitchen (ingredient choice, preparation tools, packaging, amount of material and food waste created and disposal methods) and also during product delivery with an eye towards limiting damage to the environment and promoting animal welfare. The five R's (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle) are important to us. Non-GMO, organic, fair-trade, humane, and local ingredients are equally important. As we grow we expect to expand our ability to be better environmental stewards.
